Young Justice: Outsiders – 7 Major Questions After Episodes 4-6
3. Who Is The New Leader Of The League Of Shadows?
Prince Brion's refusal to follow Nightwing's commands eventually resulted in a plan to take Halo, Forager and M'Gann's Bio-Ship to Infinity Island and confront Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Shadows over Princess Tara's disappearance. However, when they arrived on the island, they found no sign of the League and, with the exception of Ra's (and his secret family), his own ninja bodyguards and Sensei, the island was deserted. However, the real kicker came when Ra's revealed that he was no longer the leader of The League of Shadows.
As Nightwing pointed out, lying wouldn't fit with Ra's Al Ghul's M.O. as The Demon's Head usually prefers to seduce his enemies with truthful monologues that hold nothing back. So, going on the character's comic book history, it's highly likely that he was telling the truth - and this ultimately leaves us wondering, who is the League of Shadows' new leader?
Artemis comically quizzed Ra's over the identity of the new leader and, although he confirmed that it wasn't her father, Sportsmaster, he didn't comment on the possibility of it being her sister Cheshire - instead telling them to leave the island.
The League of Shadows was already scary enough with a controlled entity like Ra's Al Ghul in charge, so what on earth will they be like without him, and perhaps more importantly, who would be considered worthy enough to replace The Great One?
