Certainly, a lot happened at Unforgiven 2006, with more excess than you'd expect out of a designated B-show. When you pack a Hell in a Cell match, a TLC match, and the retirement match of a hometown star onto one card, you're raising the bar pretty high. Good thing Unforgiven succeeded.

D-Generation X vanquishing The McMahons and Big Show in a handicap Hell in a Cell match was a fun sort of bloodletting. Trish Stratus forcing Lita to submit, winning the WWE Women's Championship in her final match, was a crowd-pleasing swan song.

John Cena toppling Edge in a TLC match to win the WWE Championship, while not music to the fans' ears, was at least an excellent showing to cap off a great night.
