10 Best WWE Raw Brand PPVs Ever
4. Unforgiven 2005
The fact that the event took place during something of a transitional point for WWE (return to USA Network, post-Hogan/Michaels abrupt ending) made this a lame-duck event.
Shame, because it's a damn good card pretty much from start to finish. Lost in the dustbin of history is a tremendous steel cage match with Matt Hardy getting a measure of revenge on Edge, punctuating the action with a diving leg drop off of the structure. A lost classic to be sure.
Elsewhere, Shawn Michaels gets a very good match out of young and green Chris Masters, while John Cena and Kurt Angle's fine main event for the WWE Championship ends with a middling DQ finish. There's always Ric Flair's antics with a bottle of Viagra to dilute that sour finish.
