The Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio feud of 2005 was rife with draft soap opera nonsense, but it produced some tremendous in-ring action. At SummerSlam, the duo looked set to settle their beef with a ladder match for the custody of Rey's son Dominick. It was a fun bout overall, but definitely suffered from being a little too dramatic for it's own good, and the finish absolutely stunk.

Vickie Guerrero played a conflicted role throughout the feud, and was supposed to be decisive in the finish. The scripted outcome saw her run down to the ring, see the light, and "do the right thing" for Dominick by pushing Eddie off the ladder to seal Mysterio's win. That's pretty much what happened, but not in the way WWE intended.

Vickie missed her initial cue to run down to the ring, leading to an awkward improvised spot where Rey shook the ladder from beneath, and Eddie fell down. An infuriated Guerrero hit the deck and immediately threw a tantrum, screaming "where the f*** was Vickie?!", though this has since been edited out of the footage.

The match continued, Eddie scaled the ladder again, and Vickie eventually arrived, but it came on the back of a monumental screw-up.
