Adam Cole, bay-bay.

The NXT star joined WWE after Daniel Bryan had already announced his retirement in 2016, but he has spoken openly about his respect for Bryan and the impact his work in ROH had on Cole's own career. There's a natural story of respect turned sour waiting to be told on the WWE main roster.

Working with someone as high profile as Bryan is would be a sweet way to introduce Cole to fans on SmackDown. There's no rush, obviously, because Cole still has mileage on NXT programming and doesn't need to move up just yet.

Still, what a tantalising prospect it'd be to see him lock horns with Bryan.

As far as introductory feuds go, this is a no-brainer. By looking strong against someone fans have grown to respect so much, Cole would receive a nice boost right at the beginning of his own main roster journey. Using Bryan's star power to grow others after he's run through some more obvious opponents would be nice.
