10 Fantasy Wrestling Matches That Never Happened

7. Big Show vs. Andre The Giant - Bodyslam Challenge

Andre the Giant, at his peak, was the biggest gate attraction in the world. He was one of the most popular athletes in history and also one of the most beloved figures in wrestling, despite the match that he had his biggest match as a hated heel. Younger Andre could move like someone half of his size, throwing dropkicks and impressing crowds all over the world with his athletic feats that no one else could ever equal. The Big Show is the closest thing we may ever see to Andre. While he certainly does not have the aura that Andre did in his day, Show does have his massive size and the ability to move around the ring, at times, in an impressive fashion. Years of terrible booking and nonsensical storylines have ruined the Big Show's "unstoppable monster" character but, given the right set of events, a match with Andre could draw huge business. The only problem with booking two big men against each other is that you lose the David vs. Goliath storyline that carries most of Andre's and Big Show's matches. When matched up with someone of somewhat equal height and weight, giants have to change their working style and it's not always for the best. However, if you could use the Wayback Machine to bring 1970s Andre and put him against mid-1990s Big Show, you could have an athletic contest that would impress most modern day fans. By incorporating the bodyslam stipulation, neither guy has to job cleanly, thus preserving their giant status for a future match.
