10 Greatest Wrestlers From Quebec

2. The Vachon Family (Montreal)

You don't mention wrestling and Quebec without mentioning the Vachons. You just don't.

There was Maurice (pictured,) better known as Mad Dog Vachon, one of the scariest heels of all time, a forefather of wild-man gimmicks and boastful promos, and a multiple-time AWA Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion with brother Paul (the equally charming “Butcher”).

There was also sister Diane (better known as Vivian Vachon), a respected female wrestler in the 70's (opposite her brothers in the AWA), trained by none other than The Fabulous Moolah.

Fast forward one generation, and modern fans were treated to Butcher's pride and joy, the once-future Mrs. Bam Bam Bigelow, Luna Vachon. Luna was also an accomplished in-ring performer (ask Sable) but, to most fans, the most enduring image is that of her snarling at ringside during the 90's.

When you think great wrestling families, you think about the Anoa'i, the Harts, the Rhodes and the Vachons.
