10 Most Notorious Batista Urban Legends

Who beat him up? Is he on steroids? Let's try to figure it out.

Batista is one of the most successful professional wrestlers in WWE history and one of its biggest stars in the last decade. He started out as "Deacon Batista" on the Smackdown brand in 2002 and it took him less than three years to win his first World Title while also headlining a WrestleMania. He was a part of WWE's talented foursome that all debuted in 2002 with huge aspirations. The others were Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Randy Orton. All of them went on to win multiple World Titles and headlined every major show that there is. Lesnar was pushed the fastest, Cena's the one that has been the true top guy, Orton has mostly been pushed as the biggest heel in the group and Batista was one of the biggest faces on the Smackdown brand during his run at the top. He's an interesting guy because he left WWE in 2010 when he was in a top position, but by that point he had been working for nearly a decade and wasn't really satisfied in wrestling anymore. He went on to try MMA fighting (his professional record was 1-0) and he's moved on to acting. Earlier this year he struck gold as one of the stars of the Guardians of the Galaxy film, which has made roughly $800 million at the box office. Batista, whose real name is Dave Bautista (a lot of people think it's Batista), may never step foot in a wresting ring again. He quit in the storyline on the June 2, 2014 edition of Raw after Evolution lost to The Shield for a second PPV in a row. His name is hardly ever uttered on WWE TV anymore. He's definitely a WWE Hall of Famer one day. It's just a matter of when. Here's a look at some of the urban legends about The Animal. It will be a look at the story surrounding the news item, why people believe it and if we should believe it.
