10 Reasons Dean Ambrose Is Better Than Roman Reigns
Reigns was meant to be "the chosen one", but could he lose his spot to Ambrose?
Being the "chosen one" in the WWE is definitely not a new concept, but the talk and way of going about crowning that particular individual has changed drastically over the years. In the early days, people just accepted who the chosen one was and got behind them. But with the advent of the internet (and then social media about a decade later) fans have an exponentially larger voice and the WWE has had no choice but to listen. Two recent cases in point come with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. With CM Punk in 2011, he was unhappy with how the direction of creative was going and threatened to leave the company. The problem was, CM Punk was the top draw for all fans, but especially the "Internet Community". When he was given the liberty to drop his first pipebomb, the internet literally exploded and fans passionately rooted for Punk. After that, the WWE caved in, and CM Punk had the longest WWE Championship reign of the past 25 years. With Daniel Bryan in late 2013 / early 2014, he was as hot as any superstar had ever been in the WWE, but would get screwed over and over by The Authority starting with Summerslam last year. Then the 2014 Royal Rumble came. Rey Mysterio was booed HEAVILY at #30, and Batista was booed even worse for winning the Rumble. All because Daniel Bryan wasn't even in the picture. Again the WWE caved in, and allowed Bryan to be in the main event of Wrestlemania 30; where he became the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The WWE's chosen one (or to steal Brock Lesnar's nickname, "The Next Big Thing") hinges a lot on who the WWE Universe backs today. Ever since his dominating performance at the 2013 Survivor Series, Roman Reigns has been tabbed as the next chosen one with rumors swirling that he would be the one to take the title from Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 31. Over the past few months, someone else has emerged as a candidate to be that guy, Dean Ambrose. This article will chronicle ten reasons as to why the next chosen one should be Dean Ambrose, rather than Roman Reigns.
