10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Rey Mysterio

1. You Can See Him Without A Mask Very Easily

The one thing WWE wants you to forget about Mysterio more than anything is that even though he has never been shown on WWE without a mask on, he competed without a mask in WCW for a few years. This feature usually only focuses on WWE stuff, but it's impossible to ignore the fact about the mask because it's something WWE is so protective of. There are probably fans out there that didn't watch WCW or know that Rey wrestled without his mask there (he lost it in a match in February 1999) and it's not like WWE is going to tell you that if you watch a WCW show after that date that you'll see Rey without the mask. Fans that are curious about Rey's look could also just type "Rey Mysterio without a mask" in a search engine and a lot of pictures would pop right up. During his WWE career, there were some moments where he nearly lost his mask. There was even a match where Chris Jericho yanked his mask off when he was doing the 619, but Rey covered his face and the camera never zoomed in as Jericho went on to win the match. They've made sure he hasn't lost his mask because it's a big merchandise seller. It probably won't happen during his WWE career. The fact that fans can easily find video and photos of Mysterio without his mask is definitely the number one thing that WWE wants you to forget about him. --- That's it for this week's things WWE wants us to forget series.
