10 Weirdest WWE Matches Ever

7. Sable Vs. Debra - Women's Title Match (RAW 10/05/1999)

This is the reason the Women's Revolution happened.

When The Four Horsewomen tore up NXT and convinced top WWE management that women were capable of wrestling for more than five minutes at a time, most were happy that the transparently choreographed matches, contested by the likes of Brie Bella, were a thing of the past. But at least the Bellas and their ilk attempted to wrestle - Sable and Debra were so useless at it that it's difficult to determine why the Women's Title was brought back as a vehicle for the former.

Here, she lost the title to Debra in an Evening Gown match, a beloved Attitude Era trope. It lasted mere seconds; distracted by Val Venis, Debra's gown was torn off by Sable. It wasn't fair, but rules were rules, and the rules stipulated that whomever was disrobed first lost the match.

Only, those weren't the rules. Commissioner Shawn Michaels relieved himself of commentary duties to interject, so impressed was he by the sight of Debra's heaving, barely-concealed bust. He said that he'd already seen and was bored by Sable's, so he stripped her of the belt.
