10 Worst WWE Intercontinental Champions Of All Time
8. Albert
Kane's 37-day reign as Intercontinental Champion in 2001 was nothing special, but at least the 'Big Red Machine' had beaten Triple H for the gold in a worthwhile match at Judgment Day. That triumph deserved better than dropping the belt to a heel fans were apathetic towards on a random episode of SmackDown.
On the June 28 edition of the show, former low-card tag performer Albert won the title for no good reason at all. Suitably, fans in attendance failed to do anything other than sit on their hands and wonder why Kane hadn't been given a better tun.
Albert's Intercontinental reign seemed to exist only so that WCW invader Lance Storm had someone to beat during the 'Invasion' angle that Summer. During his 27 days in possession of the esteemed title, the bald-headed mid-carder proceeded to do nothing of note.
It's a damning verdict of his title reign that neither championship victory nor championship loss are easy to remember vividly. Most have probably forgotten Albert was champ to begin with.
