10 Worst WWE Wrestlers Of 2016

7. Carmella

WWE’s announcement that six NXT wrestlers would be included in the 2016 Draft had fans dreaming of Bayley, Finn Balor, and Shinsuke Nakamura. Balor inevitably came up, but the NXT call-ups were largely comprised of green, inexperienced rookies who looked far from the finished article at Full Sail, let alone on the main roster.

Carmella was among that group, and she has consistently struggled on SmackDown. Her early days as a babyface were a complete flop, and away from her old allies Enzo Amore & Big Cass, Carmella just couldn’t get herself cheered. Things improved when she turned heel on Nikki Bella, and the two have had a solid mid-level feud on the blue brand, but Carmella still isn’t getting over despite being paired with one of the division’s most popular competitors.

Carmella has only been wrestling for two years, and while she has made some slight improvements since her call-up, she still looks a step or two behind her more tenured colleagues. Carmella's offense is particularly sloppy and meek-looking, and while her best years should theoretically be ahead of her, her limited skillset means she probably won’t be advancing up the card anytime soon.
