When "Gentleman" Chris Adams suggested that his former girlfriend, Jeanie Clarke, become a valet for his best student, "Stunning" Steve Austin, it added an extra dimension to the heated Austin-Adams feud - Adams's wife, Toni, was his valet, and the two couples could clash in tag matches. In 1991, WCW recognized Austin's talent and snatched him and Clarke up from the independents. Clarke was renamed Lady Blossom and she accompanied Austin to the ring during the early days of his WCW career. Her career in wrestling didn't last long, though - in November of '91 she retired after becoming pregnant with Austin's daughter. Austin and Clarke had bonded during their time together. Though Austin married his first wife in 1990, he and his valet wasted little time in becoming a couple. Austin's marriage was annulled in 1992, and that same year, he married Clarke. The two divorced in 1999.
