Torrie Wilson had no prior wrestling experience when she joined WCW in 1999. As David Flair's valet, she convinced the rookie to turn on his father, and she continued to stand by his side as he was gifted the United States Championship. However, Flair soon discovered that Wilson was interested in Filthy Animals member Billy Kidman. In a match between the two, Torrie joined Kidman, helping him win and becoming her new manager. Wilson would eventually leave Kidman for Shane Douglas and Kidman would enlist Madusa in a feud with the pair, but behind the scenes, Kidman and Wilson remained together. They came to WWE as part of the Invasion, then married in 2003. They divorced in 2008, and Wilson later gained mainstream publicity for her relationship with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez.
