10 Wrestling Characters That Had The Plug Pulled On Them Immediately

Not since Doink The Clown had a carnival-based character showed so much potential in WWE.

For weeks we were teased with Kizarny coming to SmackDown to make fun balloon animals and honk his red nose. Or something like that. Sadly, he had neither of those traits. He was just a guy that lived in a carnival, and somewhere along the way learned how to become a professional fighter. Maybe the bearded lady taught him, who knows?

A bunch of vignettes of Kizarny at the carnival aired, ending with him delivering that classic catchphrase in the making; “My name is Kizarny". He appeared in exactly two matches on TV. One was a victory over MVP, and the second was being eliminated in a battle royal. That was it. That was Kizarny in his entirety, at least as far as WWE TV goes.

Perhaps the act was just finding its footing, and only needed some more room to grow. Or, we could just be honest, and say that the act probably wasn’t ever going to work (there were other reports that management were really unhappy with his performance in the MVP match and that he was basically screwed from the get-go).

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
