He wasn’t officially a police officer, but the 6’8, 300-pound giant certainly enforced the spirit of ECW. Originally brought in as Sabu’s handler, the man known simply as 911 later became Paul Heyman’s personal deus ex machina. Whenever a match was stinking up the joint or time needed to be killed, 911 hit the ring to chokeslam anyone in sight.

He was the personification of Heyman’s ability to hide weaknesses and accentuate strengths. The monster couldn’t have a believable match, but that never stopped the fans from cheering for him.

He would simply appear when needed, usually as the Philly faithful chanted “9-1-1”, and destroy whoever deserved to be silenced.
