10 WWE Feuds Doomed From The Start
4. Kurt Angle Vs. Booker T
If you've made the quite sensible decision to purge any memory of Kurt Angle's 2005 feud with Booker T from your internal hard drive, then here's a video that may help remind you exactly why it made for such uncomfortable viewing.
Granted, warring over a woman - in this case Sharmell, Booker's wife - wasn't exactly a novel WWE idea. But this was different: the object of the Olympic Gold Medallist's desires had shown no reciprocal feelings, making his persistent come-ons feel a little, well, criminal.
Perhaps a storyline like this would have had some potential if it involved, say, Kane or Umaga; the sort of characters who, owing to their monster personas, are seen as lecherous and romantically challenged. But Kurt Angle? Nobody wanted to see him do this sort of thing.
As such, the feud ended up falling flat. Angle, on paper a creepy heel, received much of the crowd's support - even when he decided to simulate a sex act while pinning Sharmell during a match that he had specifically requested.
