10 WWE Feuds Doomed From The Start
5. Kane Vs. Snitsky
Before we totally bury this feud, we should at least acknowledge that it helped equip Snitsky with an enduring catchphrase, namely "it wasn't my fault" - which he picked up after causing Lita to miscarry (haha!).
Paradoxically, that's exactly the reason that this feud was doomed from the outset. At best, it felt like a ridiculous and comical storyline purposefully designed to make its participants look silly; at worst, it was in pretty bad taste to boot.
There was also the fact that, as with the Imposter Kane storyline a few years later, the Big Red Machine was again paired up with a rookie unfamiliar to WWE audiences. This worked in 1997 when he confronted 'Taker on night one, but that's the exception that proves the rule.
In general, you need build, and - if it's not too much to ask - it would also be great if you could pair up wrestlers who are actually capable of producing something halfway watchable in the ring. The matches these two would go on to share were painfully boring.
