10 WWE Feuds Doomed From The Start
3. Michael Cole Vs. Jerry Lawler
Does anything more really need to be said about this one? It has never been, and will never be, a good idea to put Michael Cole in the ring, regardless of how many times WWE tells him to dust the cobwebs off his singlet.
This one was doomed from the start largely because it threw together two non-active wrestlers (Lawler can't really have too many objections to that description - the guy was in his 60s at the time) who everyone knew would be incapable of putting on a passable match together.
There was also the fact that it threatened to completely poison the remainder of Monday Night Raw. Where usually you can skip over any storylines you don't enjoy, this one saw nearly every segment overshadowed by Cole and King incessantly bickering at ringside.
In truth, the only positive thing to come out of it was the fact that, thanks to Monday Night Raw's nominal play-by-play guy taking an ass-kicking at the hands of Stone Cold earlier in the night, we got to hear Jim Ross call the WrestleMania XXVII main event in his place.
