10 WWE Superstars Returning In 2017

4. Bobby Lashley

Much like Drew Galloway, Bobby Lashley deserves another shot in WWE, and could be a big player the moment he signs. Vince must at least have some fond memories of him during his time with Donald Trump! Unlike Galloway, though, Lashley has entered his 40s and likely only has a few years left to be pushed in a prominent position. That means WWE should jump at the first opportunity to sign him.

You have to wonder if Vince is even aware of how much Lashley has improved in TNA over the past couple years, but someone in WWE has to be. All it would take is a couple quick Youtube clicks to get the boss to see that the man has really come into his own, and has turned into one of the best heels in the business.

For now, Lashley is locked up in TNA, but we don’t know how much they have to spend on their free agents. For all we know, the Fight Network will try to cast aside some of the more expensive talents like Lashley. And the last news of him signing a contract with the company came in 2015. It’s doubtful that they signed him for more than two years, which means that at some point in 2017 he’ll likely be available.

With so few wrestlers in WWE right now really feeling like main event players, Lashley could immediately provide some big matches that the company desperately needs.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
