10 WWE Superstars Returning In 2017
3. Wade Barrett
Well, Ryback and Alberto Del Rio aren’t coming back anytime soon, as they seemed to have burned some bridges on the way out, but Wade Barrett left WWE on his own accord, and would probably be able to return if interested.
While Barrett never received a main event push after 2010, you can tell that Vince McMahon at least likes him. He may not LOVE him, but he gave him quite a few opportunities (King Barrett, The Bare Knuckle Brawler, Bad News Barrett) in the mid-card range, so there's no reason to think he wouldn't take him back in the future.
It’s a shame that Barrett left when he did in May of this year, as he may have received more of an opportunity in the brand split. Now his best chance at getting another decent push is to wait things out. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, so while he may not get a prominent role if he came back this instant, perhaps another 10 months or so will increase his stock in the company.
