It could be because of all the oil he applies before making his glacial ring entrance, but Randy Orton hasn't let a host of major losses in 2017 stick to his teflon reputation. A SmackDown Live! safety net in his latter days, the matches still revolve around really zeroing in on his opponents chin, but the dreaded RKO remains arguably the most over finisher in wrestling.

It's for this reason that he simply has to lay down for Rusev at SummerSlam.

'The Bulgarian Brute' has been given nothing since making his return on the blue brand, and has in fact had things taken away, with a 'give me a title shot or I walk' storyline abandoned without trace shortly before June's Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

Meanwhile, the 'Apex Predator' managed to score a clean win over WWE Champion Jinder Mahal (to...win the feud he lost his title in?) and has even managed to make people forget his utterly horrific series with Bray Wyatt that polluted WrestleMania season and produced arguably the worst pay-per-view match of the year.

This, regrettably may be a series that continues on to the brand's September supershow, but the least the company could do in the meantime is give Rusev a token win to back up the posturing.
