4. A Blockbuster Universal Title Match

Brock Lesnar’s next set of challengers looks clear at the moment. After overcoming Samoa Joe at Great Balls Of Fire, the Universal Champion is expected to face Braun Strowman at SummerSlam. Finn Balor and Seth Rollins should then mount unsuccessful title challenges ahead of WrestleMania 34, where ‘The Beast Incarnate’ will drop his title to Roman Reigns.

Nothing’s ever set in stone in WWE, however, and plans can change in an instant. As such, the prospect of Cena going after Brock in his chase to win his 17th world title shouldn’t be ruled out, and would likely make for an excellent match, given the body of work these two have produced in the past.

Cena vs. Lesnar is a biytcapable of headlining any pay-per-view, including WrestleMania. It’s the biggest match that WWE could possibly book at the moment, and while the company don’t necessarily have to tear up their plans for Brock’s reign, booking a successful defence against Cena would draw huge interest to the product. Aside from Cena’s ever-shrinking army of detractors, who could possible say “no” to that, particularly given the ongoing ratings crisis?
