8. The Day (2012)

The Marine The Condemned Scorpion King Inside Out

The Day is another movie that doesn't feature any WWE roster members, and WWE Studios only handled distribution for the film after it premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival.

The post-apocalyptic premise is familiar to anyone who has ever seen a Mad Max movie, but it's shot through with strong performances from a talented ensemble (including Dominic Monaghan, Shawn Ashmore and Ashley Bell), and a ton of gore to bolster the brutality.

It plays nicely with genre expectations, there are a few welcome twists and turns, and it's a robust, if slight, addition to a fairly well-worn genre. Well worth a look even though there aren't any wrestlers to be found.
