Raw General Managers

Technically, Mr. McMahon has run Raw for as long as it's been around, but he never held the on-screen title of general manager until December 2005. Who would have been a better replacement for the recently fired Eric Bischoff than the WWE Chairman himself?

His stint as Raw GM wasn't drastically different from when he was an on-air authority figure in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but when he took the reins of Raw from late 2005 to the summer of 2007, he wasn't as overexposed. Furthermore, for the better part of 2006, he was involved in an entertaining angle with D-Generation X that saw the reunited tandem make life miserable for the Chairman.

There was always something to look forward to featuring Vince each week on Raw, and of course he was a natural in that role as the ruthless Raw GM. After almost a year and a half of calling the shots on the flagship show, he was written out of storylines with his staged death in June 2007. Prior to that, it was almost refreshing to have a GM that wasn't belittled by Vince because, well, he held both positions.
