The Many Faces Of Mick Foley Ranked - From Worst To Best

6. Dude Love

Maybe there is a bit of personal bias with this one, but I was never a big fan of Dude Love. Sure, I understand the emotion and history behind the gimmick, but as a standalone character it was just difficult to get behind.

For those who are unaware, Dude Love was the first wrestling character that Mick Foley ever created, the character that appears in the famous home videos that became synonymous with Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy. Portraying Dude Love in the World Wrestling Federation must have been a real joy for Foley, a dream realised.

Dude Love made it to the WWF in 1997, and captured tag team gold with Stone Cold Steve Austin. A weirder couple you could not find, but both men were working at such a high level that the whole thing worked beautifully.

Despite this, Dude Love was the weakest of the three most famous Faces of Foley.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
