WWE: 5 Reasons Batista's Return Has Been A Flop

The return of former WWE champion Batista was expected to be a huge coup for WWE. With Wrestlemania XXX looming and the launch of WWE's own network, Batista's return was what Triple H would consider 'good for business.' Not only is Batista a returning legend, but he is also one of the stars, of arguably, the biggest movie of the year. Batista had a pretty successful first run with the company that ran from 2002-2010. During this time he was a six-time World Champion as well as being a three-time Tag Team Champion. With his unique look and great physique WWE pushed him heavily when he broke away from Evolution and began to feud with Triple H. He would eventually leave the company in 2010 because he didn't like the direction in which WWE was headed. A returning legend, that also happens to be the star of a potential hit movie, has done wonders for WWE in the past. Following the blueprint laid out by The Rock, WWE believed Batista would heavily increase their revenue streams. However, WWE never anticipated the backlash Batista would receive. From poor booking, to his own porous mic skills, to the changing landscape of WWE, Batista's return can only be describe as flop. With that said lets see why his return hasn't worked out as WWE would have hoped.
