WWE: 7 Reasons Why Triple H Is Best For Business

4. Misconception About Not Putting Over Talent

Triple H A Nearly every top guy has been guilty of refusing to let talent go over them (Hulk Hogan refusing to put over HBK, Randy Orton refusing to put over Kofi Kingston, Steve Austin refused to job to Brock Lesnar, Bret Hart refusing to drop the title in his home town and Kevin Nash refusing to job to Rey Mysterio, forcing him to lose his mask instead). Triple H has never been the biggest criminal of this, and he has also put plenty of talent over in big rivalries. Sheamus' career as a heel would a lot less convincing if he hadn't first destroyed Triple H to the point where he ended his full-time in-ring wrestling career. There is also the main event career of Jeff Hardy. The rivalry of '08 was the springboard to Jeff's success; their string of matches, including the Championship Scramble and the No Mercy match, were both highly successful in giving Jeff a massive crowd reaction and putting him over as finally being ready to hold the title come Armageddon. Triple H hasn't always needed to be in story-line rivalries to help talent either; his time in Evolution served to push Batista and Randy Orton as future World Champions (though he also put over Batista in a clean loss, as well as push Randy Orton as a sadistic heel in the Orton vs. McMahon/Helmsley storyline). His current on-screen role as COO has helped push Randy Orton back into his slot as the top heel of the company, helped elevate Daniel Bryan to main event and leading face status, and has also helped re-invigorate The Shield before they became too stale and boring. The evil boss storyline has also highlighted the likes of Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler and The Usos as great talents. So yes, Triple H has set back some careers, and has spoken his mind on whether he thinks wrestlers are worthy of climbing up the ladder, just like every main-eventer with authority backstage (John Cena ruined Tyler Reks' and Alex Riley's careers), but Triple H has been happy to put over wrestlers who he believes deserve it and is ready to help wrestlers develop. So, more about HHH's skills!
