15 Awesome WWE Sagas To Binge-Watch On Netflix Over Christmas
Something from every WWE era is waiting for you on Netflix. From Hulkamania to Bloodline.
Wrestling fans didn't know how good we had it when the WWE Network was around. Every episode of Raw, SmackDown, WCW Nitro, Thunder and more was available, and that was before anyone chomped into the vast pay-per-view library or the generous helping of other content including the territories, shoot interviews, documentaries etc.
It was a time, people.
Netflix doesn't offer the same exhaustive feel, at least not yet. The service is still packed with content, so there's plenty to keep you busy, but the 'Raw Vault' is a selection of episodes rather than every single one from 1993-present day. Regardless, there are loads of reasons to sit down with the family (or on your own with a nice mug of hot chocolate) and check out some of the best WWE has had to offer.
The following 15 suggestions have been carefully picked and deliberated on to cover a wide range of eras, superstars, memorable moments, classic matches and more. It says everything for WWE that they're still thrilling fans in 2025 - which is running close to 40 years on from the earliest examples given. If you were there to watch them live at the time, then congrats. You've completed WWE thus far.
Need some inspiration for what to check out if you fancy being a history buff? We've got you covered. Some out there will know these sagas inside and out, but they're still worth revisiting over the festive season. Nothing says Merry Christmas like some bone-crunching, rollercoaster ride wrestling goodness.
Ho-ho-how about these Xmas gifts?! Let's dig in.

15. NXT’s Glory Days
WWE's developmental wing has experienced a stunning return to form in recent times. It's a million times better than the dreary 2.0 era was, put it that way. Even so, it's really tough for NXT to match anything from the golden period of TakeOver specials that blended WWE's production values with a decidedly non-Vince McMahon mish mash of independent wrestling style and even some New Japan influence.
There's a fair whack of TakeOvers on Netflix via the 'NXT Vault'. Dive into that, and you'll find everything from the first Arrival event in February 2014 (Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn and Neville vs. Bo Dallas are both must see from that) to arguably the last hurrah of 'Black & Gold' class 2021 pre-2.0 rebrand. Honestly, pretty much any of these are worth your time, so you might end up watching them in sequence.
Do that, and you'll be treated to banging matches starring the likes of Adam Cole, Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Bayley, Sasha Banks and others. Indeed, some of the bouts that latter duo had against one another could rank as some of the greatest WWE matches of all time. That's seriously high praise considering the depth of quality elsewhere.
Triple H cultivated something special down in NXT between 2014-2021. There were peaks and troughs in that timeframe, but the quality bar was generally set to really f'n high. Go mad with it. If 2014 and the aforementioned Arrival show sounds just a little too early, then anything from 2015-2019 is a real sweet spot.
Top Recommendation: Andrade defending his NXT Title vs. Johnny Gargano at TakeOver: Philadelphia in 2018.
