6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (7 Sept - Results & Review)
Breakker takes center stage, Reed squashes more bodies, a major star returns.
Fresh off an underwhelming Sunday Night’s Main Event and turning their attention to Money in the Bank next month, WWE dialed up a better offering Monday night, focusing on some newer faces and injecting some chaos into the mix.
Raw strongly featured Bron Breakker, fresh off one of his better performances in some time, and he turned in an even better outing in a MITB qualifying match against Ethan Page and Rey Mysterio, punching his ticket for New Orleans.
Breakker’s running buddy Bronson Reed had a second consecutive strong night, helping to take out Alpha Academy and an already-injured Oba Femi, re-establishing himself as a threat on the red brand.
Speaking of threats on Raw, Royce Keys’ stable 946 worked the Usos up without raising their voices, calling them out and showing them that they mean business when they say they’ve got nothing to lose.
Raw unfortunately tried to be funny a few times and fell flat on its face with a few promos and matches, dragging the overall show down a few pegs. Still, this was something of a rebound from the taped Raw last week, and there’s some direction forming with top storylines.
Oh, and a wrestler made their return after a couple of months off television.
Let’s get to it…
