Kit Wilson is impressing behind the scenes in WWE.

Having been utilised as a singles act in recent months, Kit Wilson is reportedly viewed by some as being WWE's next Heath Slater.

Per WRKD Wrestling, WWE has a "lot of faith" and a "lot of trust" in Wilson, seeing him as somebody who can play a role similar to what Slater so often did for the company in terms of taking losses, making other talent look better, and receiving plenty of screen time.

Now, barring his time with the initial iteration of the Nexus, Heath Slater was never in a particularly prominent main event role at any point during his WWE career, but Heath still provided a whole bunch of value for the promotion, as easily highlighted by the fact that he was with WWE for an impressive 14 years. And even when the four-time WWE Tag Team Champion's time with the company did come to an end, that was only due to pandemic-driven "budget cuts."

So often, Heath Slater was relied on as a trusted hand, a good in-ring worker, somebody who could be used to make others look good, and was such a safe performer that he was paired up with various returning legends, such as Bret Hart, Vader, and Sycho Sid.

As for Kit Wilson, he's been operating as a singles act since his Pretty Deadly partner Elton Prince suffered an injury back in May when the tandem took on Fraxiom in a SmackDown match. There's still no timeframe on when Prince is due to return to the ring, but for now, it sounds like Kit is making quite the positive impression behind the scenes.
