31. Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns (WrestleMania 38, Night 2)
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns had previously struggled to capture the excitement of fans during WrestleMania season. Their match, headlining the biggest show of the year just 4 years earlier, was widely criticized for both its build-up and the ploddy encounter itself, but there was far more positivity around them main eventing Night 2 of WrestleMania 38.
Firstly, the stakes were much bigger with it being a match to unify the WWE Championship and the Universal title, something that saw the match given the tagline 'The Biggest WrestleMania Match Of All Time', but that wasn't the most significant reason. At WrestleMania 34, fans were still sour on Roman Reigns, but he was a different animal all together by this point. Under the tutelage of Paul Heyman, Reigns was now becoming 'The Tribal Chief' and cementing himself as the box office attraction that WWE had so desperately wanted him to be for the previous decade.
Improving his mic work and believability all the way to AT&T Stadium in Texas, Reigns would win this match and the respect of the WWE Universe at last. It may pale in comparison to his next 3 performances at WrestleMania, but this was the night that Roman Reigns became WWE's undisputed 'Head of the Table'.
