WWE Clash In Italy 2026: 8 Things That NEED To Happen

New champs crowned? Danhausen's reveal? WWE going all in on Oba Femi?!

It feels like there's a WWE PLE every time you blink nowadays. That might sound like one, but it isn't actually a complaint. The more, the merrier from a fan's point of view, but the dense scheduling isn't doing much for events like last weekend's Saturday Night's Main Event. That was defunct pretty much as soon as it happened.

WWE/TKO might have to think about the future of SNME, but they'll park that for now to focus on Clash In Italy this coming Sunday. This was always going to be the more important show, and it boasts no less than 4 title bouts on a 5 match card. The other? A colossal WrestleMania 42 rematch between Brock Lesnar and fresh powerhouse Oba Femi.

Turin is in for a treat then. Or, at least, wrestle-hungry punters in northern Italy should be. They'll see major developments for top stars like Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Lesnar, Oba, Cody Rhodes, Gunther and a good few others. Clash could also see the rise of a young force in the women's division who's been turning heads since coming up from NXT.

These predictions include a zany segment that'll bring off-the-wall comedy character Danhausen back to PLE. No, not in terms of working a match, but more revealing what his scientific experimentation on SmackDown has been all about.

Here's absolutely everything that must happen on WWE's latest. Shock World Title changes, someone hammering home his heel turn, and more talk of dramatic retirements? You got it. Clash In Italy could well better Backlash and 'Mania.

8. Sol Ruca Snatches Gold

Poor Sol Ruca has messed up her spectacular Sol Snatcher finish on multiple occasions since hitting WWE's main roster, and she can't afford to do it again at Clash In Italy. This could shake out to be a very big night for the ex-NXT star, so she'll need to be on the top of her game. Yours truly is predicting a title change here.

Becky Lynch only won the belt back from AJ Lee so AJ could waltz off into the sunset again and so Becks could elevate younger names. Ruca might not be ready to lead the women's division on Raw, but that's what this Women's Intercontinental Title is for - it's a midcard trophy that's designed to help fresh faces find their feet on the bigger shows.

That's why Sol should win out in Turin.

Ideally, she'll hit that Sol Snatcher flush to take the win and Lynch's title. Then, if need be, WWE can always get to a rematch between the pair that has a stipulation tacked onto it. Don't forget that Night Of Champions is coming up over in Saudi on 27 June (yep, they're still full steam ahead on that), and there's another SNME in Madison Square Garden on 18 July.

Either of those dates would work for a follow up (blowoff) Sol vs. Becky bout, especially the MSG show if they're placed inside a steel cage or something. That way, Ruca will be able to do her best Lita impressions by flying off the top with a cross body.

For now, just stick the title on her and see what happens. It's worth trying.
