10. This Forgotten Trish Stratus Romance

Remember this? Probably not.

Trish Stratus started an onscreen romance with Carlito on the 26 June 2006 Raw when he saved her from an attack by Melina and Johnny Nitro. After that, the new couple briefly feuded with Edge and Lita, but their storyline fling ended when Trish retired at Unforgiven in September. It isn't something many people talk about now when reminiscing about Trish's career.

Years later, Carlito admitted to Chris Van Vliet that he didn’t really like the onscreen romance or think it was the right thing for his character at the time. If anything, Carly believed he should've been kept separate from the Divas and presented as a more credible worker between the ropes who could get the job done on his own.

WWE would get back to that, but they were intrigued by the thought of Stratus and Mr. Caribbean Cool smooching on episodes of Raw for a while. This was just the latest in a long, long line of romances Trish had in front of the cameras, but it isn't one fans discuss when touring back through her Hall Of Fame runs with the promotion.

Looking back, it is slightly strange that WWE thought this was the way to go with either worker. Stratus must've made it known behind the scenes that she planned to wind down her in-ring career, and Carlito was coming off a tag-team run then feud with Chris Masters. He needed something big and impactful, and it probs didn't help when he came lovesick for Trish instead.
