10 Comic Books That Should Never Become Movies

6. Captain Britain

Captain BritainPremise: A carbon copy of Marvel's Captain America except for the UK, Brian Braddock (also known as Britannic) upholds national pride while kicking ass in a way that is totally original, of course... Why It Wouldn't Work As A Movie: It was tricky enough getting the tone of the Captain America movie right, and that's a property that people actually care about and wanted to see adapted, whereas most haven't even heard of this one. Even if the film were actually made, it would almost certainly be laughed out of cinemas by audiences, and given how less nationalistic British people are compared to Americans - we prefer self-deprecation to flag-waving on the whole - it's hard to believe that any UK studio could ever muster up enough interest in it.
