10 Comic Books To Read If You Love Young Justice

3. Impulse: Reckless Youth

Young Justice Peter David
DC Comics

The impulsive type, Bart Allen has to learn how to use his powers while also learning when it's time to joke and when to be serious. This is all while going to a high school with centuries-old material that Bart feels he has no need to be present for, having travelled back in time.

He learns from the Zen-Master of speed himself, Max Mercury. Who teaches him that everything a speedster does has a consequence, many of which cannot be altered and how serious this is.

However, the biggest lesson Bart has to learn is that, while the impulse might always be ready to go, sometimes it’s best to wait and choose the right path. Now known as Impulse, he must smarten up for the road ahead as a real superhero who knows his role and takes all his challenges in his stride.
