10 DC Universe Fates Worse Than Death

5. Being Lord Death Man

Batman Who Laughs Robins
DC Comics

If Grant Morrison hadn't become the head writer on Batman, Lord Death Man might have survived as a super obscure one off villain from decades past, instead of the truly horrific fate Morrison gave him in the pages of Batman Incorporated.

See, Lord Death Man's power is that he cannot die. At all. And trust me, Morrison's run makes sure that you know that by the end. Doesn't matter what you do to him, he'll always come back. So when he goes just a bit too far to mess with the caped crusader, Batman decides that if you can't kill or capture Lord Death Man, best to just get rid of him.

So he locks the bastard in a trunk, and launches him into space. A bit excessive, one might say, but hey, what's YOUR plan for a guy who can come back from any injury and get out of any prison?

In any event, no one in their right mind would wanna be Lord Death Man now, since I doubt we're going to be seeing much of him anymore.
