10 Greatest "Dead And I Know It" Comic Book Moments

7. Bullseye - Shadowland

Shadowland Bullseye
Marvel Comics

Oh, Bullseye...

In 2010's Shadowland, legendary assassin Bullseye ends up killed by long-time rival Daredevil. And what makes this even worse for the infamous rogue is that he actually went looking for the Guardian Devil as he wanted to have a bit of fun.

As Andy Diggle and Billy Tan's story opens up, we find a captive Bullseye breaking free of a trip to the Raft, then setting his sights on tracking down Daredevil at the new Hand temple he's assembled in Hell's Kitchen.

By this point in time, Matt Murdock is the new leader of the Hand, has a more ruthless approach to matters, and is extremely miffed (isn't he always?) at Bullseye for killing 107 people after he turned a building into rubble. So, when Bullseye literally turns up at Matt's door and issues a challenge, ol' Hornhead is more than eager to accept.

What Bullseye had failed to realise here, is just how clinical Daredevil now was in his methods. By the time the villain does realise this, he's had both shoulders dislocated and is sat defenceless as DD fatally runs him through with a sai - much like what Bullseye did to Elektra decades prior - while a shocked Luke Cage and Iron Fist watch on from a nearby rooftop.
