Good old Wade Wilson’s always been renowned as one of Marvel’s more eccentric figures. Strange from the get go, Deadpool’s occasional forays into the multiverse have inevitably lead to major upticks in the strangeness sector, a prime example of this: Mimepool.

During his time with the Deadpool Corps (as if one DP wasn’t enough), Wilson encounters an alternate Earth version of himself. One who lives in a world whole scale invaded by mind-controlling berets. Yep, you read that correctly.

The Avengers have been defeated by said berets, becoming zombified mimes in the process. The Wade of this world helps in the successful defeat of the Mimevengers but is tragically taken over by one of those dastardly berets in the process. Thus an all new, all silent but equally deadly Deadpool is born: Mimepool.

The Deadpool Corps do what anyone would do in this situation: they strap Mimepool to a rocket and send him hurtling into space. We never did hear from Mimepool again (or at all come to think of it) but his comically surreal origin and short lived run were unforgettably bizarre.

John Cunningham hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
