10 Reasons To Celebrate The Superior Spider-Man

5. The Cliffhangers

Fans who cringe at the exorbitant price of comic books these days unquestionably got their money€™s worth when it came to the amount of content and action in Superior Spider-Man. Dan Slott managed to pack a ton of plot development into this series, as a standard issue would often have at least three or four subplots running concurrently (sometimes even more) involving Spidey, Mary Jane, Carlie Cooper, the Green Goblin, J. Jonah Jameson, Alchemax/Horizon Labs, etc. Additionally, Slott had a penchant for ending almost all of his Superior issues on a cliffhanger, whether it be some foreboding comment from the Goblin, the appearance of €œGhost€ Peter, or something else that threatened to throw the Superior status quo into upheaval. Even if you were not totally in favor of a certain plot point or characterization, Slott found ways to make readers invested in his story and eager to read the next issue.
