10 Reasons Why Batman Beyond Was The Best DC Animated Series

9. The Chemistry Between Bruce Wayne And Terry McGinnis

Many DC series have a lot of great dynamic duos, most of which include Batman himself. Whether it is with Alfred or one of his many sidekicks, the chemistry between them has always added to the stories' greatness.

Batman Beyond tops all the bat-related pairings with the chemistry between the new Dark Knight and the old one. There is no question that Terry McGinnis and Bruce Wayne really make the perfect odd couple.

Wayne has been Batman for a long time and he's pretty jaded, however, he is still committed to protecting the innocent. McGinnis, who is new to crime fighting, is very green and full of hope. The dichotomy between the two causes them to clash quite often.

One of the great things about the show is that Terry isn't trying to be Bruce. He wouldn't necessarily do what Wayne’s Batman would do. The solution he often finds strikes a nice balance between his own convictions and all the experience Wayne brings to the table. The dynamic of their relationship goes further then mentor and student and feels more like a father and a son that makes the series extra special.
