10 Times Supervillains Quit

2. Boomerang Moves In With Spider-Man - The Amazing Spider-Man

If you haven't heard of Boomerang before, all you need to know if that he is comic books' second most popular boomerang-themed villain (after the Suicide Squad's Captain Boomerang). However, if Nick Spencer's ongoing run on the Amazing Spider-Man is anything to go by, that popularity ranking could be changing very soon!

When Peter Parker realises that Fred "Boomerang" Myers is his new roommate, it looks like it's going to add to the long list of complications that come with living life as Spider-Man. It's tough enough to hide your secret identity from the people you live with, but when one of those people also happens to be a supervillain, it's a whole new level of tricky.

As it turns out, Peter has little need to be so worried. Ever since he inadvertently helped to take down a Hydra helicarrier, Boomerang has been making an effort to be more of an antihero than a straight-up baddie. He even tries his best to be a good friend to Peter, taking him along to the Pop Up With No Name, a bar patronised exclusively by Spider-Man's rogue's gallery.

When Boomerang finds that he has had a magical treasure map implanted in his memory by a mysterious old man, he even teams up with Spidey to go on a mystical artifact treasure hunt. Their team-up is certainly an unexpected bromance of the best kind.
