10 Villains Who Need To Be Introduced Into The DC Cinematic Universe
1. Darkseid
In the DC Universe, there are almost no beings more powerful than Darkseid. The tyrannical ruler of the planet Apokolips, Darkseid has a set and unchanging mission; to conquer and rule the entire Universe.
As the leader of the New Gods, Darkseid possesses near-limitless power, most notably the 'Omega Beams', powerful energy blasts which he fires from his eyes in order to completely destroy all remnants of his adversaries from existence. He also has superhuman strength, intelligence, and durability, being almost impervious to all physical harm.
If he were to be to be introduced into the DC Extended Universe, Darkseid would be an adversary that would push not one, but all of the DC Universes heroes to their limits, forcing them to work together like only the Justice League can, to defeat a power too great for any one being to overcome. Much like Thanos has been portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Darkseid could present not only physical threat to the Justice League, but a mental one as well, pulling the strings throughout a number of the franchises films, before making his presence felt in the eventual Justice League movie, giving fans the live-action adaptation of Darkseid they have always wanted to see.
