10 Villains Who Need To Be Introduced Into The DC Cinematic Universe
2. Doomsday
As far as phyiscal threats go in the DC Universe, Doomsday may be the most dangerous DC villain of all. A being created through years of barbaric cloning, Doomsday's DNA has evolved throughout thousands of years, allowing him to become invulnerable to almost any form of harm imaginable, and granting him with Superhuman strength matching that of Superman, and a regenerative healing factor which can bring him back to life, even after being reduced to nothing more than a skeleton. However, due to the sickening nature of his creation, Doomsday has come to hate all life, growing into a being intent on destroying anyone who crosses his path. His power is so great, in fact, that he became the only being to ever kill Superman.
In his past cinematic outings, fans have often been critical of Superman never been faced with an adversary that truly matches his superhuman abilities. By introducing Doomsday into the DC Extended Universe, fans would finally get the opportunity to see Superman taken to his very limits, in the live-action adaptation of one of comic book history's greatest battles. His inclusion in the universe would also allow for the Justice League to unite as one, with the cinematic interpretation of Doomsday perhaps being too much to handle for Superman alone.
There have been recent rumors that General Zod, played by the returning Michael Shannon, will be resurrected in the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and eventually transform into the DC Extended Universe's Doomsday, however we will have to wait until March 2016 to find out if it's all just speculation, or if we will finally see Doomsday on the big screen.
