Avengers: Endgame - 13 Things It Actually Took From The Comics

12. Captain Marvel - Intergalactic Diplomat

Carol Danvers may not have gotten as big a role in Endgame as fans initially expected, but the character still took a major step in her development. She features at the beginning when the Avengers go to take Thanos down and reverse what he did, but after the failure of that encounter, she fails to stick around.

Adopting a new uniform and a snazzy new haircut, Carol takes to the stars in order to liaise with other planets in the wake of the Decimation. She's effectively an intergalactic diplomat, a move the good Captain would settle into a few years after she adopted the mantle, and it was great to see that aspect of the character replicated in the film.

Of course, after Carol had tried her hand at cosmic diplomacy, she'd go on to found a whole new version of Alpha Flight. The group, perhaps most famous for being the Canadian equivalent of the Avengers/X-Men, were rebranded as an orbital defence force protecting the Earth against alien threats.

Given Carol has already made the leap to diplomat, could Alpha Flight come next?
