Every Arrowverse Season Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Legends of Tomorrow Season 2

The first season of Legends of Tomorrow may have been decent, but it didn't have all that much to say. Season 2, however, was a different story altogether.

Adopting a more tongue-in-cheek tone than its predecessor, the show embraced every inch of the wacky and wondrous world around them. As a result, everything was so much more exaggerated - and that ultimately made it all the more enjoyable.

That's not as to say that there wasn't any seriousness because, seriously, there was. From Sara's desire to undo Laurel's death to Rip's sinister turn, the writers weren't afraid to weave emotionally heavy narratives in there too and, to their credit, they handled them with all the necessary maturity.

Speaking of maturity, the villains were also a significant improvement over the one-dimensional Vandal Savage - and not only because the Legion of Doom consisted of fan-favourite Big Bads Reverse-Flash, Dark Archer and Damien Darhk - as each of them were tired of losing and thus, in a clever way of using the far-fetched concept of the show to create a surprisingly believable goal, they wished to change reality so that they could win instead.

Legends of Tomorrow is now arguably the best (and, without a doubt, the most consistent) Arrowverse show of them all, but it wouldn't be so without its incomparable second season.
