Every Arrowverse Season Ranked From Worst To Best

5. Supergirl Season 2

Arrowverse CW
The CW

It's hard to believe that there was a time when a second season of Supergirl wasn't a guarantee but, in spite of great ratings, the show's fate was up at in the air at one point... that is, until it moved to The CW to join its fellow Arrowverse shows. And that move allowed it produce one heck of a second offering.

The show adopted a slightly less cheesy and more mature approach which, in all honesty, came with positives and negatives. That said, it did allow for some incredibly touching storylines, such as Alex's journey towards acceptance of her sexuality - a storyline that was undoubtedly one of the season's standout aspects.

The departure of Cat Grant certainly hurt the show, but the debuts of Mon-El, Lena Luthor, Maggie Sawyer, Lillian Luthor, Lynda Carter's President Olivia Marsdin and, most importantly, Superman made up for all of that as they enhanced the season and created a new dynamic going forward. And even though the villainous Rhea was a little one-dimensional, Teri Hatcher's performance elevated the material as it all paved the way for an epic two-part finale.
