10 2016 Movie Characters Who Probably Died Horrible Deaths

Marvel's latest ends with the title character (Benedict Cumberbatch) convincing the villainous Dormammu to leave Earth and recall his disciples, specifically wayward mystic Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen).

In Kaecilius' final moments on-screen, he is fused with the Dark Dimension by Dormammu, flying off into space as he crystalises into a crude humanoid form.

There's been much debate about exactly what happened to Kaecilius and how bad it was, considering he desired for the Dark Dimension to consume Earth and undo the very concept of death.

Consider, though, that he perhaps didn't bargain on being turned into one of the Mindless Ones (which it's heavily implied he was), where any sense of humanity is stripped away and he's basically a zombie with zero personality, able only to do Dormammu's bidding.

It's up for debate whether or not Kaecilius died, but if we accept that the Kaecilius we knew is no more, then it seems like a pretty damn horrific demise regardless of how aware of it he was.
