7. Zoolander No. 2

The Buzz: It's been a whole 15 years since Zoolander hit screens, and the fanbase has been passionately demanding a sequel pretty much ever since. After several false starts, it's finally here, with Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell being accompanied by the lovely Penelope Cruz, a scarcely recognisable Kristen Wiig, and cameos from the likes of Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Billy Zane, Mika, Benedict Cumberbatch and Lewis Hamilton. If it can successfully send-up how the world has changed since 2001 while not just raking over the same jokes from the first movie, it could theoretically be just as great. Why It's Going To Disappoint: Because sequels to cult hits frequently flounder and underwhelm, as capturing the same oddball magic is so difficult, especially when it comes to comedies (hence why Anchorman 2 was so divisive). There's the possibility that it may lean too heavily on its conveyor belt of cameos rather than actually come up with some good gags, or like other films on this list, it may be too keen to just rehash what worked the first time. Either way, if it somehow does the impossible and equals or betters the first film, it would be a major shock.
